Champions Barking hit 100-point mark

Essex Senior League champions Barking brought up a century of points with success over Manor at Southchurch Park.

Joe Pearman netted both goals for the Blues, who had received the silverware two weeks earlier following their win at lowly Burnham Ramblers.

And chairman Rob O’Brien even made a cameo appearance as a late substitute as the visitors notched up their 32nd win in 41 outings this term.

Joe Pearman opened the scoring in the 19th minute as he lifted the ball over home keeper Lewis Down.

And Pearman doubled their advantage four minutes into the second half when slotting home his 24th goal of the season in all competitions.

Barking could widen that gap to double figures when they complete their title-winning season with a home match against Stansted at Mayesbrook Park on April 29.
