If only every Saturday could be like this, a warm welcome from our hosts, terrific travelling support and a five star performance from the lads to round things off. Have promised exciting times ahead if supporters stay patient and keep faith, went some way to repaying their loyalty this week, lads up for it from the start, dominated throughout and could have had more in the end. Bounced back from last week and that was always the aim, Freshened up the squad in midweek and the newcomers lifted everyone, a real buzz around the camp today carried over to an eventful journey home.
The win was no fluke either, arrived with a game plan and stuck to it, Relied on a hard working from lone striker and got it from Steads, linked up play superbly as we swarmed all over the midfield. Another big performance from Hoppo, outstanding second goal and now adding real consistency to his play.
Wasn't all good news, conceded two and that's two too many. Did at least look more organised at the back and played as a unit. Walshy now wearing the arm band like he wants to keep it, very vocal Saturday and that's a trait we haven't always had this season. My man of the Match Ducky, rock like performance, has waited for his chance with a great attitude, he's holding now so now up others to hunt for his shirt.
Haven't turned into world beaters overnight, but hopefully can build from here, two massive games against Basildon, coming up, both will be a battle that much is certain, could make or break both teams season so expect some pre-November fireworks.
