November 9th - Lacking the winning ' Manor' - Pyne's pen fails to dislodge the lodgers

An improved performance but the team need to develop a winning mentality if we're to climb the league. Can only think of this as two points dropped and you can't do that when the're in short supply. Had Manor on the ropes but once again failed to finish the opposition off, topically produced most of the fireworks on the day but just like Guy Fawkes didn't complete the job.

Had golden chances to seal it !, Pyney normally so reliable from the spot and Jarad should have done better moments later. So typical of this league that those misses came back to haunt us, Manor not at their fluent best on the day but always a threat going forward, came into the game late on and a spectacular strike to share the points, Clarkey rarely beaten from that distance so testimony to the quality.

The glass probably half empty in the final reckoning but at least something on the board after last week's setback. Was pleased with how the lads approached things, a togetherness apparent from the moment they arrived at the ground and better shape throughout the game particularly defensively. Home fan's seemed happy with performance and plenty of supportive comments on the day and that was appreciated, very much 'work in progress' at Barking at the moment, we just need to get a little winning run going to get ahead of the schedule we've set ourselves.

Big plus at right back Saturday and ironically because of Tiff's unavoidable late show. Pleased for Stoney, has worked hard despite being on the fringes for much of this season and took his chance here in some style, will need eleven players with the same attitude at in form Barkingside next week- sure to be a real test but i'm sure the lads will be up for it.
