Another hard won point on the road and would probably have taken that at 3 o’clock. Showing some real durability away from home now, goalless draws at three of the top five but still not that elusive first win. Could finish up with both the best defensive and worst attacking records in the league by the end of the season, a rarity for the statisticians that one I’m sure.
Ironically rung the changes up top Saturday but frustratingly drew a blank once more. Couldn't fault the effort though, Enfield knew they were in a battle and both teams had the physical scars to prove it. Our hold up play was good in this one as you would expect from players of Migy's and Des's undoubted quality, little more match sharpness from both and it could be a productive partnership. Wasn't an easy decision to make, left out Pyney, Steads, Ruel and Jared amongst others to make way for them, most of them still travelled, some despite not even being in the squad and did themselves no harm with that sort of attitude.
Defensively not at our best first half, boys listened to advise, dropped deeper second half and looked altogether more comfortable, both teams with good chances to win it after the break and a draw pretty much a fair result in the end.
Back to back wins over Xmas would put us back in the mix so that's very much the agenda, Southend Manor always difficult opponents and Mauritius improving of late so some tough festive challenges ahead, hopefully some seasonal cheer on its way.
