October 19th - Another Beth'Nail' in the heart

Back to the drawing board this week as we were brushed aside by a ruthless and efficient display from the home side. Didn't turn up, didn't compete until it was too late and conceded four for the second Saturday in succession - those are worrying comments and we need to address them fast.

Expected us to build on last Monday's impressive display, but it never happened, second best all over the pitch and but for Clarkey could have been more. Take full responsibility for selection, tactics and substitutions on this occasion and that's the frustrating thing, agonised over selection and a real nail in the heart to see it all fall apart especially against opponents already known to us.

One bright note in performance of Ricki Mackin, showed the drive and determination that had been missing with a little cameo second half performance and an illustration of the quality we do have at the club. Two signings in the pipeline this week and I promise they will surprise some people - watch this space.

Languishing near the bottom of the league and our cup hopes hanging by a thread so really time to stand up and be counted now Management and players alike. Big eight weeks to Xmas and I expect a big response from the lads - hoping they have the character to produce one- that's their challenge.
