July 20th - No Grays skies ahead

No complaints this week as we matched Grays over an entertaining ninety minutes. An encouraging display this, we improved on Tuesday's performance and individual's staked further claims to a starting shirt this term - pretty much the pre-match plan in itself. Even a second half cameo from the boss, who had to borrow a shirt from the physio's son but he's in possesion now so Parker and Clarky need to look out.

All round this was a step forward from against Redbridge, midfield kept the ball much better- whilst our shape when we lost the ball was also more impressive. More good performances from the newcomers, Steads and Walshy cementing their places match by match, old guard Doyley and Ducky forging an effective centre back pairing which could yet keep established centre backs on the sidelines.

More talking today as well and that's a real bonus, more needed all over the pitch but it's a start and yet another area to work on. Fitness levels still not there but big, fit opposition next Tuesday so a worthwhile run out expected.
