Billy Rix makes three figures

Tuesday October 4th 2016

Last Tuesday in our 'away' league fixture against West Essex saw the 100th senior appearance of Billy Rix. The three figure mark was reached as a 78th substitute for Timi Abiola, after finishing last season stuck on 99 - one short of the magical ton.

As is the tradition tonight prior to the game with Barkingside we presented Billy with a silver salver to mark the occasion with Chairman Rob O'Brien doing the honours on behalf of the club.

Billy came through the Thurrock academy system and joined us prior to the start of the 2013/14 season and was a unused sub in the season opener against London Bari, he made his first start against Haringey Borough in a Essex Senior League cup tie and went to chalk up 41 appearances in his first campaign. Billy was also a member of our successful Gordon Brasted Memorial Trophy side in May 2015.

The full record of Billy's senior appearances for Barking FC up to and including tonight is:

2013/14 37 4 41 0
2014/15 23 3 26 3
2015/16 28 4 32 0
2016/17 0 2 2 0
TOTAL 101 3

As always we continue to appreciate the efforts and loyalty of our players and wish Billy many more appearances in a Barking shirt in the seasons to come.
