Tonight our joint manager joined the band of players who have made three figures for Barking FC as Steve Willis made it to 100 in tonight's Gordon Brasted memorial trophy tie against Sporting Bengal As is usual on these occasions Chairman Rob O'Brien presented Steve with a silver salver on behalf of the club.
Steve's first spell with us was very brief playing one game in November 2008 against Takeley - but returned to Mayesbrook Park in the summer of 2014 and helped us to our best placing (third) in the Essex Senior League and our first trophy since 1997 in the Gordon Brasted memorial trophy. Steve departed for Aveley but returned again in October 2015 to become joint first team manager with Glen Golby. He has continued to prove that he is accomplished experienced defender who scores a few goals along with guiding the fortunes of our first team.
Steve's full senior record for Barking FC up to and including tonight:
Below are some photos of Steve during his Barking career so far:
Steve's latest goal was against Sawbridgeworth Town last December captured by Ashley Hanson:
We would like to thank Steve for his efforts both as a player and manager for the club and wish him success in the future.
